...then that makes you ridiculously awesome. Don't let anyone else tell you different. I've been off my blog for a while because well...honestly...been busy. My apologies lurkers (or lurker, singular, there is like one dude subscribed to my blog, shout out to you bro! Give yourself a pat on the back Chet). I've been making lots of art lately with my friend Maleknaz . Amazing photographer, go out and check her work out. I've also been collaborating with my homie Rosco Flevo who is the art director of Embrace the Culture. Thanks for the link love Rosco! If you don't own one of his shirts, then you're not living life people. Affluent clothing for affluent lifestyles. Go do it. Oh, and I was on tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan by way of Warped Tour this Summer as well. Pictures will be posted and I'll actually start posting my art real soon. I promise. Last Halloween...White House

Old news but I thought it would be appropriate for my blog. So last Halloween, I was invited to work on this project at the White House. I had to carve a pumpkin that weighed 1,000 lbs for Michelle Obama.  I was working with two sculptors and they needed a designer to layout the font for this beast of a pumpkin. I was an all day event, rainy and cold, surrounded by secret service and the whole nine, but cool as hell. Rom Emanuel came out and greeted us. I was extremely honored by the whole event. They even snapped a picture of me for the Washington Post's website.  Thanks Shadeh!

NYC Moma, Jersey City, Art and Inspiration

I was in NYC over the weekend. Cold and rainy as all hell, but still, every time I come back to New York I always find myself inspired. 

 

Tron Legacy....

I think the remake of this classic  MOVIE, along with films like avatar are going to push artists and animators to new strides with aesthetic treatments in the movie industry. And not just film, I think young designers are going to be pushing the wave for epic visuals for the internet and print media as well. Time to nut up or shut up!

Hurt n Sore n Deftones.

So, I busted my chops sledding down a flight of snow covered stairs. Hurt my back and ass. So I've been in pain; slacking on posting anything at all. I've been lurking the net for good music, and bumped into my old high school favorites, and STILL favorites,  The Deftones. I've been listening to them since i was like 16. They posted up a track up from their unreleased album Eros on youtube. Sounds terrific, and the animated type video that goes with the music is cool too.  

Valentine's Day Blows.

Sorry for the delayed post... I really despise Valentine's day.

It's crap.Want to know how much I hate it? I'm married and I STILL hate Valentines day. Im like the Ebenezer Scrooge of Valentines Day. Its just a crappy reason for hallmark to capitalize on a fake ass holiday. Bah humbug. So then....Wifey and I met up with our best friends for some dranks. My partner in crime Hannah got us lovers trashed.

Snowpacalypse 2010

Snowed in for the past week.... so I've witnessed snow battles, been drankin' whiskey and eating lots...just trying staying warm dude. Im not a huge winter fan, so I posted up my boy X's house to warm up and watch surfing vids. After that we trenched through some snow round midnight to my friend Kate's loft to eat good foodies and see her awesome art collection (great inspiraton). Good Times. Thanks for the hospitality dudes.

January Photoshoot with Naz

This is Maleknaz and she is a fucking genius photographer. We're collaborating and conspiring on taking over the photography and graphic design world.

Her team members Naz, Christina and our model Oriana made this shoot EPIC. Im stoked about this project. We'll be working together on some digital collage/digi-illustrations. Theres going to be some interesting pieces to develop from this. Stoked.

Elephant Special Edition Shoes

So I'm also an art director for a new apparel line called Elephant here in DC. We're a new company, but we're gonna have some really dope merchandise launching within the year. Im pretty excited about it. So, this year for christmas I did some custom illustrations on these vans i ordered online, and tricked them out as a gifts for my partners Hannah and Ross. They're definitely special edition limited shoes. They are the first and only vans I've ever done. I think i'm gonna start tricking more shoes out for myself.
